two new bikes from yamaha, sport bike market battle heats up India. Earlier this year, a Japanese motor company, Yamaha, re-launched two new models of motor sport.
Reported Motorbeam, Tuesday, January 22, 2012, both sport bike is the Yamaha SZ-R and Yamaha SZ-X. Both new models are not much changed from the previous model. However, Yamaha did a refresher in terms of design and color display.
SZ Series equipped with a capacity of 153 cc, 4 stroke, air-cooled, SOHC. 2 valve engine is able to produce power of 12.1 hp at 7500 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm on.
Both of these variants (SZ and SZ-R-X), has the same power. However, the SZ-R at the front is equipped with disc brakes, unlike the SZ-X which uses only the brake drum.
SZ-R comes in three variant colors, namely red, black and white. While the SZ-X has a choice of colors, namely red, black, and silver.
Yamaha SZ-X release at a price of 56,500 rupees, or about Rp 10 million. While the SZ-R priced at 62,800 rupees, or about Rp11 million (the price of on-road Mumbai).
Yamaha SZ series are expected to compete with Bajaj Discover and the Honda Unicorn in motor sport markets of India. Manufacturers of bearing the tuning fork is indeed being intensively launching new products in Asian countries.
